This weeks open houses will be held on Sunday, February 25th from 1-4pm in our Ironwood South, Pleasant Grove, and Sunrise Pointe developments.

Ironwood South is located in Altoona just off 1st Avenue South. Ironwood South has a park, access to bike trails, pond and SE Polk Schools with Clay Elementary.  The tax abatement in Altoona is $75,000, which means the first $75,000 of the homes assessed value is abated from taxes. For example, if you have a $275,000 home, you will only pay taxes on $200,000.

Pleasant Grove is a new community in Bondurant. Walking distance to schools, libraries, parks, restaurants, and the bike trail make this development desirable. Bondurant is far enough away from the metro to have a small town feel but a short drive can get you to Altoona, Ankeny, and the Des Moines metro. The tax abatement in Bondurant is a 3 year graduated abatement, similar to Pleasant Hill. The first year, 75% of the home’s assessed value is abated, year 2 is 60% abated, and year 3 is 45% abated.

Sunrise Pointe is an exclusive Jerry’s Homes development tucked behind the highway 5 bypass and just south of highway 163 in Pleasant Hill. With Southeast Polk School and Four Mile Elementary, this has been a go-to spot for families of all stages of life. Sunrise Pointe has developed into its own community where neighbors, family, and friends all gather for fun. The tax abatement in Pleasant Hill is a graduated 5 year abatement. Year 1 is 75% abated, year 2 is 60% abated, year 3 is 45% abated, year 4 is 30% abated, and year 5 is 15% abated. This allows homeowners to work their way into their full payment.


Ironwood South:

To development- In Altoona, head east on 8th St to 1st Ave. Go South on 1st St to 24th Ave SW. Homes being held open are on 6th Ave SW, the street just west of the park. With only 1 completed home and 1 under construction, we have some exciting homes on the way for 2018. Ironwood South is expanding west with more plats, roads, and amenities.
